Handles heaving clay, acid sulphate soils, and areas prone to subsidence, without compromising structural integrity.
low environmental impact
Easy to install and reuse, Multiturn Screw Piles leave a lighter footprint than traditional concrete-based foundations.
custom to your load
Light to heavy-duty shaft sizes and wall thicknesses, suitable for both round and square configurations.

minimal environmental impact

Multiturn Helix Screw Piles present a substantially lower environmental risk than concrete-based foundation systems. There are no chemical additives introduced into the soil, no risk of concrete leachate entering the water table, and no disruption to the soil structure or the organisms that inhabit it. Because the piles can be fully removed at end of use, the long-term footprint on the site is minimal. This makes Multiturn Screw Piles a viable option for environmentally sensitive sites, contaminated ground, and projects subject to strict remediation requirements.

Structural versatility without compromising on load capacity

Despite their low environmental impact, Multiturn Screw Piles remain suitable for heavy load applications. A range of light to heavy-duty steel shaft sizes and wall thicknesses can be specified to meet varying load capacity requirements, with compatibility across both round and square shaft configurations. This flexibility allows the system to be engineered to the specific demands of each project rather than applying a one-size-fits-all solution.

Helical design allows for removal and re-use

The helical form of the pile base creates a screw effect that works in both directions. This means piles can be cleanly extracted and relocated without damage to the surrounding ground - a significant advantage for temporary structures, modular buildings, and projects where site conditions may change over time. Structures such as site sheds have long relied on this system precisely because the pile and helix can be unscrewed and moved to a new location as required.

greater economic value

The reduced diameter of the Multiturn Helix — which provides a 2x bulb factor — represents a 30% cost saving on materials compared to traditional screw pile designs. Combined with the ability to certify load capacity, eliminate the need for load testing, and re-use piles across multiple projects, the system delivers measurable value for builders and project managers across the project lifecycle.

Engineered for the conditions that test every other foundation system

Multiturn Screw Piles combine patented helix geometry, high-grade cast steel, and a three-stage installation process to deliver a foundation solution that performs where concrete and plate helix systems fall short.

how the multiturn helix gives our design an edge

The Multiturn Helix is the core of what makes this system work. As the pile is driven into the ground, the helix penetrates clays, gravels and shales which displaces loose material rather than disturbing the surrounding soil profile. Unlike a standard plate helix, the Multiturn Helix cutting edge is capable of penetrating up to 4 MPa rock, making it suited to the dense, compacted soils regularly encountered across Australian conditions. The steel used throughout (Cast Steel Alloy ASTM 216 WCB) offers a yield strength range of 300 to 600 MPa, effectively negating the risk of catastrophic pile failure. This combination of geometry and material strength gives engineers and project managers a high degree of confidence in load performance from the outset.
